Computer Diagnostic Only
AED 99
16 checkpoints. OBD + engine start check. Sharjah/Ajman only.
Details →Computer Diagnostic (OBD) — UAE
The moment a seller clears the check engine light, the dashboard looks clean. The OBD memory does not. Professional diagnostic scanners read pending codes, freeze-frame data, module coding, and — on most modern vehicles — the recently-cleared history. AED 99, 30 minutes, on-location in Sharjah or Ajman.
Misfires, fuel trim drift, oxygen sensor readings, EVAP system leaks, catalyst efficiency, timing faults, turbo pressure codes.
Shift solenoid codes, torque converter clutch slip, fluid temperature faults, CVT pulley wear indicators, adaptation drift.
Wheel speed sensor faults, hydraulic module codes, ABS pump operation, stability control calibration status.
Deployed airbag history, seat belt pretensioner status, occupancy sensor codes, side impact sensor faults. Never cleared without specific tool.
Power window motor faults, door lock actuator codes, lighting circuit faults, infotainment coding, key immobiliser status.
Status of emissions readiness monitors — critical for RTA annual inspection. A recently cleared ECM fails the readiness check and fails the statutory test.
Modern vehicles store more than just current fault codes. Professional scanners can read:
A seller who cleared the check engine light one hour before the viewing will leave fingerprints the scanner reads.
Before the RTA or Tasjeel registration test. If readiness monitors are incomplete, the car will fail the statutory test.
If the car has a clean service history and no visible accident signs, a AED 99 OBD scan confirms there are no hidden fault codes before purchase.
If you have a dashboard warning light and want to know what it means before driving to a workshop, a AED 99 diagnostic is the right answer.
For any used car above AED 40,000, the AED 250 Body & Computer package is the better starting point — same OBD scan plus 132 additional checkpoints.

Details →A computerised check up (OBD diagnostic) uses an OBD-II scanner to read fault codes stored by the car's electronic control units. A professional scanner reads engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, and body control modules — not just the generic engine codes a cheap scanner shows. The InspectCar computer diagnostic is AED 99 and takes 30–45 minutes.
Sellers routinely clear the check engine light before a viewing. A professional scanner can still read pending codes, freeze frame data, and — on many vehicles — the history of recently cleared codes. It also reveals airbag, ABS, and transmission codes that do not trigger a dashboard light.
The report lists every stored and pending fault code across five modules, with human-readable descriptions. It also includes OBD readiness monitor status (useful before RTA inspection), any stored freeze-frame data, and the inspector's interpretation of whether the codes are safety-critical, wear-related, or historical.
For a nearly-new car with no visible issues, yes. For a typical used car purchase, it is not enough — you also need body, paint, frame, and mechanical checks. Most buyers choose the AED 250 Body & Computer package, which adds 132 body and electrical points to the 16 OBD points.
Sharjah and Ajman only, as of April 2026. Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain customers can book the AED 250 Body & Computer package, which includes the same OBD scan plus 132 additional checkpoints.
