Why the Centre Model Has Gaps
Venue Risk
Some inspection centres are affiliated with dealerships. A centre that earns revenue from the same seller you are inspecting against has a conflict you cannot see from the waiting room.
Transport Risk
A car with undisclosed issues should not be driven across Sheikh Zayed Road to reach an inspection lane. The risk compounds — accident, breakdown, or further damage while in transit.
Seller Friction
Convincing a private seller to accompany you to a centre often fails. Many sellers simply refuse. On-location inspection removes the friction.
Hours Constraint

When a Centre Visit Is Still the Right Choice
InspectCar does not replace statutory government testing. For the following, a licensed UAE centre remains required:
- Annual registration renewal (RTA / Traffic authority). Tasjeel, ENOC Tasjeel, Shamil — statutory emissions and safety pass/fail.
- Export pre-shipment certificate. A licensed centre issues the export paperwork.
- Some insurance claim assessments. Insurer-appointed assessor at a specific workshop.
For everything else — pre-purchase, annual condition, loan collateral, dispute evidence — on-location inspection is the stronger choice.

Do you operate a physical vehicle inspection centre?
No. InspectCar runs an on-location inspection model — the inspector travels to the car instead of the car travelling to a centre. This removes venue bias, avoids the cost of driving an unfamiliar car across the city, and allows inspections outside traditional centre hours.
What are the alternatives to a fixed inspection centre?
InspectCar on-location inspectors serve the same purpose as a centre visit, but at the vehicle's current location. For government-mandated annual safety and emissions testing, RTA Tasjeel, ENOC Tasjeel, and Shamil are the UAE-licensed centres. These are different services — Tasjeel is pass/fail statutory testing; InspectCar is a diagnostic condition report.
Is the report from an on-location inspection equivalent to a centre inspection?

Can I request an inspection at a specific workshop if I prefer?
Yes. If you have a trusted workshop or garage, the InspectCar inspector can meet the car there. The inspector uses their own equipment and process independently of the workshop staff.
