Details →Annual Condition Inspection — UAE
The RTA test tells you pass or fail. The InspectCar annual inspection tells you what is wearing, what is drifting, and what will need attention over the next 12 months. One inspection a year catches almost every issue before it becomes a breakdown.
Cars in the UAE operate in one of the harshest automotive climates in the world. Ambient temperatures above 45°C, fine dust, and long motorway commutes accelerate wear on rubber, coolant, air-conditioning, and suspension components in ways that a European service schedule was never designed for. Annual inspection catches the drift before it becomes damage.
Radiator pressure test, hose condition, water pump play, coolant contamination. Engine failure from overheating is the #1 mechanical loss in the UAE.
Compressor operation, blow temperature at vents, blend-door actuators, cabin filter. An AC reading 2°C higher than last year signals refrigerant leak.
Ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar links, shock rebound. UAE speed bumps and expansion joints punish suspension harder than potholes.
Cold cranking amps, terminal condition, electrolyte level. UAE heat reduces battery life to 2–3 years versus 4–5 in cooler climates.
Manufacturing year per tire, sidewall cracking, wear pattern. Rubber compound degrades with heat exposure regardless of tread depth.
Pending codes, recent cleared codes, module coding integrity. Records the car's electronic health baseline year over year.

Recommended annual check. 148 points including paint, body, and electronics.

Full condition baseline for luxury, EV, or high-mileage vehicles.
Details →Annual roadworthiness testing is required by the RTA (Dubai) and the equivalent traffic authorities in other emirates before registration renewal. That is a government emissions and safety test. An annual InspectCar condition inspection is a separate, voluntary, deeper check for the owner's benefit — covering wear, value-driving issues, and early warning signs that government testing does not address.
RTA Tasjeel testing checks emissions, brake balance, headlight alignment, and chassis condition — the statutory minimum. An InspectCar annual inspection runs 410+ points including OBD fault history, paint thickness changes over time, suspension wear measurements, EV battery state of health, and documented photographic records. It is diagnostic, not pass/fail.
Most owners time it around their insurance renewal or RTA registration renewal. Doing the InspectCar check 4 to 8 weeks before registration renewal allows time to fix any issues that would fail the RTA test.
Yes — especially then. Dealer service workshops prioritise warranty-covered items. Independent inspection finds wear items, non-warranty defects, and fault codes the dealer has cleared without documenting. The report protects you when making future warranty claims.
For most owners, the AED 250 Body & Computer inspection is the right annual choice — 148 points covering body, paint thickness, frame, electronics, and OBD. Owners of luxury, EV, or high-mileage vehicles should choose the AED 399 Comprehensive inspection for the full 410+ point picture.
An annual condition report is a small expense. Undiagnosed wear is not.
