A used car in the UAE can hide damage that never shows up in a quick look. A visual check at a parking lot will not find it — a trained inspector with an OBD scanner, paint thickness gauge, and a 410-point checklist will. InspectCar is that inspector.
Vehicle inspection is the process of verifying a car's condition against an objective checklist before ownership changes hands or insurance is written. It is not a test drive, a visual glance, or a mechanic's opinion. The output is a documented report with photographic evidence — the kind of record that holds up in a dispute.
The InspectCar inspection covers the nine structural and mechanical zones below. Every item is either passed, noted, or failed, and every fail is backed by a photograph.
42 body points plus 27 frame points. We measure paint thickness on every panel — repainted doors, a replaced quarter panel, or a straightened chassis all register in microns that the eye cannot see.
Engine start behaviour, idle, noises, mounts, and leaks. A professional OBD-II scanner pulls fault codes from the engine control unit, transmission, ABS, airbag, and body control modules — including codes that were recently cleared.
Pad and rotor thickness, caliper condition, shock and strut operation, ball joints, tie rod ends, CV boots, differential, transfer case, and 4WD engagement — all verified by hand and on the road.
Tread depth, manufacturing year, and wear pattern per wheel. Uneven wear points to alignment, suspension, or frame issues the seller may not mention.
Dashboard condition, seat wear, seat heaters, ISOFIX anchors, all windows and mirrors, infotainment, Bluetooth, CarPlay, HVAC compressor output, and blower motor function.
Airbag system status, anti-theft alarm, backup camera, parking sensors, blind spot detection, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control — 28 advanced safety checks.
Most inspection services in the UAE offer checklists between 120 and 248 points. That covers the obvious. It does not cover EV high-voltage battery state of health, frame rail straightness, or the 22 suspension and steering checkpoints where a single worn ball joint can grow into a costly problem later.
The InspectCar checklist covers 410+ items distributed across 25 documented categories. Any buyer can review the full list before booking on the checkpoints page .

A vehicle inspection is an independent condition assessment by a certified inspector who verifies the engine, body, frame, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and interior against a documented checklist. The InspectCar comprehensive inspection covers 410+ individual points and produces a photo-backed PDF report within 24 hours.
InspectCar offers three price points: AED 99 for a computer diagnostic (OBD scan and engine start check), AED 250 for body and computer inspection (148 points), and AED 399 for a full 410+ point comprehensive inspection.
The inspector travels to the vehicle. You do not need to move the car. InspectCar covers Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain. Abu Dhabi and Fujairah are temporarily unavailable.
The computer diagnostic takes 30 to 45 minutes on-location. The body and computer inspection takes 1 to 2 hours. The comprehensive 410+ point inspection takes 2 to 3 hours including the road test.
The digital report (PDF plus shareable link) is delivered within 24 hours of the inspection completion, most often the same day. It includes photographic evidence for every flagged item, OBD fault codes with descriptions, and paint thickness readings per panel.
